Architect Position
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Architect should set and follow office guidelines and standards for mid- to large-scale projects within an architectural setting under the guidance of the Managing Partners. The Architect is in charge of outreach for the promotion of Nistenhaus Design in the broad spectrum of architectural opportunities within the community at large. This position should explore research into best practices of construction and applicable product trends. This position should exercise proper code adherence and be sure to inform other team members of best practices.
The Architect should have an interest and understanding of interior design. They should be open to working with the Managing Partners for any and all interior design and architectural needs of a project. The Architect will work closely with the Director of Logistics and Trade Coordinator to move projects forward.

Design Associate Position
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Design Associate facilitates the client experience while representing office standards and consistently maintaining proper protocol. This position utilizes SketchUp, AutoCAD, or Revit to present layout designs to clients. They are responsible for getting plans up to date and permit ready. The Design Associate will also learn new programs, such as Foyr, to enhance their renders and ability to communicate designs to the client.
The Design Associate contributes to the overall material resource library and supports the upkeep of visual standards for the studio. This position should conduct research into further opportunities for material and resources. With the current size of the office, the Design Associate contributes to the group effort of creating a standard protocol for tasks that allow the business to provide the best experience possible to clients, and fellow employees.
The Design Associate should be familiar with the Nistenhaus Process and should be able to communicate it effectively to prospective clients. They will work closely with the Managing Partners to learn the various furniture vendors used in our design firm. They will deal directly with customers on the sales floor to enhance their product and selling knowledge. This position can easily grow into furniture design and sales. If the employee shows promise in this area, they will work with the Managing Partners and Office Manager to design room schemes for furniture clients. This entails choosing Nistenhaus products for room layouts and providing options for clients to purchase from.

Trade Coordinator & Administrator Position
JOB DESCRIPTION
Trade Coordinator & Administrator will be responsible for direct communication with many of the trades used in the Nistenhaus Design Process. They will have a hand in scheduling work, meeting tradespeople on site, follow up, and communication of quotes with clients. The employee will keep coworkers informed of any progress made at job sites or with pending work inquiries and help them move projects forward. The employee may use any avenues necessary – LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc – to find the trades necessary to complete work. The trades employed should be vetted by the employee before being presented to the Managing Partners.
It is the expectation of this position to eventually reach out to new vendors and product providers in order to offer our clients a service that fits within their projects’ needs and within our scope. The Trade Coordinator & Administrator will need to outreach to vendors in similar fields and develop a healthy working relationship. The employee should be able to work independently, have strong communication skills, and understand the Nistenhaus Process so they can share it with others.
Additionally, the Trade Coordinator & Administrator will work closely with the Managing Partners. They will be responsible for Nistenhaus property management, inquiry follow up, meeting prep, and other various administrative activities assigned to them by the Managing Partners.
